About CPMC

Since 1992, the Coalition to Protect Maryland's Children (CPMC) is a consortium of organizations and individuals concerned about the care of Maryland’s most vulnerable children and who work together to promote meaningful child welfare public policy. Members include pediatricians, CINA attorneys, social workers, foster care providers, and other advocates who work on the frontlines in protecting infants, children, and youth from physical abuse, sexual abuse, mental injury, and/or neglect.

Our website serves as a platform to raise awareness about crucial child protection policies and laws, foster collaboration among child welfare entities, share public policy research studies and informational articles, and encourage educational engagement with policymakers to collectively work towards our mission of ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Maryland's children.

CPMC is a membership organization. Responsibility and authority for governance of CPMC and for achieving its mission and goals is derived from the membership. There are two types of membership - Organizational or Individual - and three levels of participation - Steering Committee Member, Partner, or Ally.
